Feb. 4 - "Standardization" key to Islamic banking, says Governor of Bahrain Central Bank. Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Rasheed Al-Maraj says the "standardization" of Islamic Banking is a "major issue" that will help the growth of the industry if it is addressed. Al-Maraj, speaking at the Reuters Islamic Banking and Finance Summit in Manama, says it will "reduce transaction costs" and "make it easier for other institutions to participate" once more standards are set.
